After obtaining my Schools Board A , I joined the ANZ Bank as a 15yo in Brisbane Street, Launceston and then to Elizabeth St branch where in 1968 transferred to Hobart where I remained till resignation in 1972. I then joined the Tasmania Police and after graduating joined the photographic section where I quenched my passion for photography and also bushwalking where I joined as a part time member in Search and Rescue. The Photographic Section is now Forensic services and I am still there after 32 years and contemplating retirement in a few years. I was married to Vanessa for 27 years and have two daughters, Andrea and Rebekah. I am currently separated and live with my friend Maris at Blackmans Bay. I have had an interesting life in my job and also as a professional photographer ( weddings and wilderness mainly ) and as a former high jump record holder at the school have had periods of activity as a masters athlete in track and field , decathlon and pentathlon.I still compete from time to time in numerous fun runs, ride mountain and road bikes and bushwalk in remote areas of the state. I still lead an active life of course and will continue that into retirement. I look forward to hearing some war stories of my peers!
