Attended Launceston Matriculation College, 1967-68.
Obtained Marketing Cadetship with Repco, and worked with that firm 1968 to 1972.
Joined Commonwealth Public Service in 1972 and moved to Hobart. Had 15 years in that organisation, including 13 years with the CES.
Left in 1987 to establish own business (HR consulting).
Joined Tasmanian State Government in 1990, and stayed until 1995, working as Manager of Community Services for N. Tas, State HR Manager and Northern HR Manager of Community and Health Services.
Went back to private enterprise and worked as Manager of HR with a private hospital and construction company.
Went to Canberra in 1997 as National Manager of COMCAR.
Came to Queensland as Director of Human Resources with Queensland Treasury in 1999.
Gained a Bachelor of Business Degree.
Have lived variously in Tasmania, Victoria, ACT and Queensland.
Have two children and three grand-children.
All in all a singularly unexciting life!!
